3. Bài mẫu về chủ đề Tet Holiday

Sample 1:

It is a significant holiday for all Vietnamese. It usually takes place between the end of January and the end of February. The Lunar Calendar is used to keep track of dates. It is also the beginning of spring. As a result, the weather is ideal for this celebration.

It is held to celebrate the New Lunar Year. Another factor is that individuals have worked hard all year and deserve a vacation. Furthermore, we need to spend time with our families, and the Tet vacation is an excellent opportunity.

People should undertake a thorough spring cleaning before the event. During the event, people would go to the homes of their friends and family, eat special foods, play cards, and exchange fortunate money. They will also visit pagodas and pray for a successful work year.

First, after a year of hard work and study, I can spend time with my family and friends. Second, I enjoy getting dressed up in beautiful clothing and going for a walk in public locations. Third, during this occasion, I may go to pagodas and pray for a prosperous new year.

So, that's all I have to say. I'm hoping that this holiday will arrive soon.

Vocabulary highlights:

  • keep track of something: Theo dõi điều gì đó

  • Deserve (v): Xứng đáng

  • Undertake (v): Đảm nhiềm

  • Prosperous (adj): Thịnh vượng.

Sample 2:

It is a highly important holiday for the Vietnamese people that occurs every year from the end of January to the end of February. People utilize the Lunar Calendar, which is based on the Moon, to calculate accurate dates. Fortunately, this time of year is in the spring, when the weather is pleasant enough for the festival and for people to socialize

We commemorate this festival because it signifies the conclusion of the Lunar Year and the start of the New Lunar Year. Another reason is that after a year of hard work, many would want to take a holiday and forget about their hectic lives for a bit.

Plus, many like to spend time with their families, and the Tet vacation provides an excellent opportunity.

People should undertake a thorough spring cleaning before the celebration, which includes cleaning their homes and properly arranging the ancestor's shrine. During the holiday, people would go to the homes of their friends and family and have large dinners with unique foods such as square sticky rice cake, cylindrical sticky rice cake, pickled leeks, braised pork, and eggs. They frequently spend the remainder of their time after meals playing cards and swapping fortunate money. Also, they will visit pagodas to pray for a prosperous year.

For several reasons, I consider this event to be quite important to me. First and foremost, after a long period of work and study, it is an opportunity for me to reconnect with my family and friends and catch up on their life experiences. Second, it allows me to dress up in great clothing and go for a walk in public locations where I may pose in some fancy costumes. Third, since it is a long weekend. I may pass the time by visiting pagodas and praying for a prosperous, successful, and peaceful year.

So, those are the reasons why I'd want to bring up the Tet holiday.

  • Socialize (v): Tụ họp, nói chuyện

  • Commemorate (v): Ăn mừng, tưởng nhớ

  • Square sticky rice cake: Bánh chưng

  • Reconnect (v): kết nối

  • Visit pagodas: Đi thăm viếng chùa

Sample 3:

It is a highly important traditional festival for the Vietnamese people that occurs every year from the end of January to the end of February. However, the precise dates for Tet vary from year to year since we utilize the Lunar calendar to count the first day of the Lunar Year in our culture. I mean that people will use the movement of the Moon around the Earth to calculate dates rather than the movement of the Earth around the Sun. Fortunately, this time of year is also in the spring season, so the weather is pleasant enough for the festival and for people to participate in some enjoyable activities.

The reason we celebrate this festival is to mark the end of the old and unfortunate Lunar Year and the beginning of the New Lunar Year. Another reason is that after a year of hard work that keeps us always on our toes, we need a long rest that allows us to replenish our batteries for the new year. On top of that, because Vietnamese never cease prioritizing family values, Tet is a time for us to assemble, exhibit love and affection, and keep each other updated.

There are various reasons why, aside from my birthday, I consider this festival to be one of my most anticipated yearly events. First and foremost, after a lengthy period of hectic schedule that appears to wear me out, it is an opportunity to catch up with my family and friends and hear about their lives. To be honest, hearing my family express their feelings and wishes makes me feel warm and happy on the inside. Plus, it provides an occasion for me to dress up in extravagant attire and parade through the streets.

So those are the reasons why I am so excited to share what I know about the Tet holiday with you. I sincerely hope that such an important event as Tet arrives soon, bringing with it lots of luck, love, and happiness.

Vocabulary highlights:

  • Enjoyable (adj): Vui nhộn

  • Replenish battery: Nạp năng lượng

  • Assemble (v): Tụ họp

  • Exhibit love and affection: Bày tỏ tình yêu thương

  • Anticipate (v): Mong chờ, đón đợi

  • Extravagant (adj): Xa xỉ

  • Sincere (adj): Thật lòng

Sample 4:

When it comes to Vietnamese holidays, I suppose the Lunar New Year is typically the first that comes to mind. It is the most anticipated yearly event among Vietnamese across the world, more than any other.

The Lunar New Year event is generally held around the final ten days of January or the first twenty days of February and lasts three to four days. For thousands of years, Vietnamese people have celebrated this festival, which has become an important aspect of Vietnamese culture. Lunar New Year's Eve is not only a spectacular event but also an opportunity for family reunions and personal gatherings.

Because it is the most significant holiday of the year, everyone pays close attention to everything they do and say on this special day. Cleaning and decorating the house, buying new clothing, baking "Chung" cake, making offerings to the ancestors, giving out "lucky money," visiting temples and pagodas are all usual preparations. and so forth.

The Lunar New Year holds special significance for me, as well as Vietnamese people all around the world. It may be the one occasion when all family members may get together and rejoice, sharing good news and wishing for better things in the future year.

Even if the contemporary lifestyle and quick speed of life are reducing the Lunar New Year holiday, I do not believe it will ever disappear since its significance in every Vietnamese's heart is much too big.

Vocabulary highlights:

  • Spectacular (adj): Ngoạn mục

  • Family reunion (n): Buổi đoàn tụ gia đình

  • Visit temples and pagodas: Thăm viếng đền chùa

  • Hold significance: Chứa nhiều giá trị

  • Comtemporary (adj): Đương thời
