Question 1:
Describe your dream home.
You should say:
Where you are living now
Where you want to live
What kind of home is your dream home
And explain why you think it is your dream home.
Sample band 6.5
If I were to describe my ideal home, it would be a lovely beach house in a tranquil country area.
I like the concept of owning a two-story house because I believe it would be sufficient for a little family to live comfortably. It would have to be painted blue, my favorite color, and the ceiling would have to be exquisitely ornamented with star and moon ornaments.
Because I prefer natural light over artificial light, each room would have its own set of windows. The windows would also be decked with colored string lights and other flowers, creating a warm and inviting environment for my family. In case I needed some motivation, I'd place some images of inspiring words on the walls. Each bedroom would have a balcony with a beautiful view of the sea.
The ideal place would be beside the water since I enjoy sitting on the beach every day and watching the dawn and sunset. Another factor is that the weather in coastal places is often pleasant not too hot or cold. It is lovely virtually all year.
If I want to purchase a property like this, I guess I'd have to save a lot of money. Property prices have risen considerably in recent years, particularly in coastal places, but I believe it is well worth it.
Sample band 8.0
For the time being, I'm sharing an apartment with two other pals. It is located in the middle of the city, surrounded by hustle and activity. People from all across the city swarm the streets at night. It's not very big, but it's big enough for me to study. This, however, is not my ideal home.
To be honest, the location and surroundings of my dream house are really significant to me. Mountains and fresh, crisp air have always captivated me. I'd feel upbeat and energetic, staring out the windows at the spectacular range of mountains and the cooling environment. For the time being, I'm sharing an apartment with two other pals.
In this regard, I envision my dream home being positioned somewhere high, away from the city's crowds and pollution.
To describe the design of my house, I want it to be as basic as feasible. I'm not into flashy or modern architecture; anything simple and efficient should suffice. A Cottage would have one bedroom, a living area, and a bathroom. The living room should be the largest because it is where I do all of my enjoyment, whether alone or with a companion. There will also be adorned trees and plants around the house.

I guess living in an old house can bring many sentimental things. A house where you grow up can hold many memories from your childhood to your teenage years. In my country, Vietnam, the most popular type of apartment is a modern and spacious one located in the city center. These apartments often have amenities such as fitness centers, swimming pools, and convenient access to shopping and dining. Additionally, they are often located in areas with high security and modern infrastructure, which appeals to many people in the urban areas. It is also common to find apartments with a minimalist design, which appeals to the younger generation in particular.

Generally, I believe the differences between the houses that young people and old people live in can vary based on various factors such as financial stability, personal preferences, and living needs. Young people may opt for smaller, more affordable and practical houses that are closer to urban areas and are equipped with modern amenities. In comparison, older people may prefer larger, more spacious and traditional homes that are located in quiet and peaceful suburbs. These homes may also be equipped with special features to accommodate their changing needs and lifestyles.

3.6 Do people usually buy or rent a house? Why?
I would say that people's decision to buy or rent a house depends on various factors such as financial stability, personal preference, and long-term plans. Some individuals prefer to buy a house as they consider it a long-term investment and enjoy the benefits of ownership such as having the freedom to make changes to the property. On the other hand, others prefer to rent a house as it offers more flexibility and requires less financial commitment. The choice between buying or renting ultimately depends on one's individual circumstances and priorities.
